As part of the “Book Days-I” event organized by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the exhibition titled “Ancient Letters, New Interpretations,” prepared by the students of the Department of Contemporary Turkish Dialects and Literatures, was presented to visitors.

The student works, prepared within the scope of the course “Writing Systems Used by Turks,” were created around the Köktürk alphabet, one of the significant writing heritages in Turkish cultural history. In the exhibited works, proverbs, aphorisms, and various texts were written in Köktürk script, through which the traditional writing culture was reinterpreted with a modern design perspective.

Held at the Conference Hall of the Rectorate Building, the exhibition aimed to raise awareness among visitors about the writing systems used by Turks throughout history while also highlighting the students’ academic and artistic works related to cultural heritage.
