Erasmus Exchange Programme

What is the Erasmus Programme?

The Erasmus Programme is a European Union initiative aimed at promoting multidimensional cooperation among higher education institutions across Europe. It provides non-repayable financial support in the form of grants to enable universities to develop and implement joint projects, as well as to facilitate short-term exchanges of students and academic staff.

The programme is named after the Dutch scholar Erasmus (1469–1536), one of the leading figures of Renaissance Humanism, who studied and taught in various European countries.

Students participating in the Erasmus Programme are offered the opportunity to study in another European country for a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 12 months.
