With the contributions of Orhangazi Serbest, a literature teacher and a graduate of our Department of Contemporary Turkish Dialects and Literatures, the event titled “Career Journey 2” was successfully held with the aim of increasing our students’ professional awareness.

During the event, Serbest sincerely shared his career journey, extending from his years of education to his professional life. He provided valuable insights into the challenges he faced, the achievements he attained, and his post-graduation experiences. Creating an interactive atmosphere with the participating students, he emphasized that alongside academic knowledge, personal development, communication skills, and determination play a crucial role in career advancement.

Offering various recommendations to the students, Serbest particularly underlined the importance of planning for the post-graduation period and gaining experience in different fields as key factors in career development. He also presented motivating examples for students interested in the teaching profession, sharing significant moments from his own professional journey.

This inspiring event for our department’s students was of great importance in strengthening alumni relations and guiding students in their career planning.
